Mocktails – Great Tasting Non Alcoholic Drinks
It is important to know a few great tasting alcohol free drinks for your customers who are the designated drivers or who just prefer to take it easy. It is also a good idea to offer someone a “free” drink when you think someone needs a break from alcohol and offer them something they will like which looks good.
Generally speaking, non alcoholic cocktails are no different from making regular cocktails except you won’t be adding any alcohol. Many cocktails without alcohol still taste great. Below is a list of ingredients for alcohol-free drinks that every bar will have on hand. One thing that’s good to have on hand is bitters, the most popular being Angostura bitters. It adds a bit of bite to cocktails or mocktails.
Alcohol Free / Non-Alcoholic Drink Recipes
Bitter Ale
Fill a highball glass with ice and add half cranberry juice, half Ginger Ale, 2 dashes of Bitters and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
Summer Blast
Fill a highball glass with ice and add half cranberry juice, half Pineapple juice, a splash of 7up, a splash of lime bar mix, and 2 dashes of bitters
Cranberry Fresher
Fill a highball glass with ice and add half cranberry juice and half either 7up/Sprite, or Soda.
Tropical Punch
Fill a highball glass with ice and add equal amounts of cranberry juice, Pineapple juice, Orange juice, a splash of lime bar mix and a splash of Ginger Ale on top and garnish with a cherry.
Whether it’s for their own health, they’re a designated driver or they just don’t like the taste of alcohol, there are a lot of people who are looking for non-alcoholic cocktails when they’re out at the bar.
